When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?

oh Samui boasts a tropical climate with temperatures hovering around 30 degrees Celsius year-round. The best time to visit is during the dry season, which spans from February to May. During this period, you can bask in sunny days, minimal rainfall, and calm seas.

The months from June to August are also great for a visit, although you might encounter slightly more rain.

From September to January, Koh Samui experiences its rainy season. This doesn't mean it rains all day long, but you can expect more frequent downpours.

Koh Samui offers a plethora of breathtaking beaches, each with its own unique charm. Here are our top 5 picks:

  1. Chaweng Beach: The most popular beach on Koh Samui, boasting a vibrant nightlife, countless restaurants, and exciting water sports.

  2. Lamai Beach: A slightly quieter alternative to Chaweng, with a relaxed atmosphere and picturesque bays.

  3. Bophut Beach: A charming beach with a fishing village, perfect for those seeking authenticity.

  4. Maenam Beach: A long stretch of beach with fine sand and shallow waters, ideal for families with children.

  5. Silver Beach (Haad Thong Ta-khian): A hidden gem with crystal-clear waters and a laid-back vibe.
